Sunrise on Assateague Island

WHY WE LOVED OUR TOUR

"We wanted to see the sunrise during our vacation and we were happy we did on Assateague! After enjoying our coffee on the beach, we were driven further off road and were lucky to see horses resting on the sand dunes. We then drove throughout the park and saw a number of other horse bands too, including other wildlife."

Overview:

​

Visit Assateague Island National Seashore via private transportation and enjoy the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Relax around a campfire and have your morning cup of coffee away from the crowds.

Itinerary:

​

5:00am: Meet at Ocean City Park and Ride for departure. If you are staying in West Ocean City or Berlin, we provide pick up and drop off directly at your lodging, just let us know upon booking.

​

Along the short drive to Assateague we will talk about the rich history of the park, its formation, ecosystem, and horse population. Upon entering the park, we will do our best to spot wildlife along the way, including the famous horses. Sika deer and other wildlife, including a vast array of birds can be seen as we travel through the park.

​

After arriving at the off road / over sand section of the park, we will drive down the beach and set up beach supplies to enjoy the sunrise. We can explore two paths by car (if accessible) to see the bayside and potentially other horse bands. Upon departing from the park, we will do our best to spot horses as well.

​

FREE FAMILY PHOTO: During the trip, when the lighting is best, we can take a group picture of your family on the beach with a DSLR camera. This will be sent to you after the trip at no extra cost.

​

10:00am: Around this time we will depart from Assateague Island, with drop off back at your vehicle or lodging.

​
